Business Resources at your Disposal

For well over a decade, Connect Supported Employment Service has successfully helped over 400 people into jobs with local employers. This has been achieved by delivering a pre-work package and unique one-to-one on the job support to job seekers, in partnership with leading local employers and at no cost to them.

Support Across the Board

Connect is one of the top five supported employment agencies in the south west. Leading people in the town Actively support Connect. These include Swindon's local Members of Parliament, and Dennis Grant, Chief Executive of Swindon Chamber of Commerce.

Connect’s network of employers embraces all areas of work and includes many household names such as:

  • Fish Brothers
  • Focus
  • J Sainsburys
  • Nationwide·
  • Royal Mail
  • Pizza Hut
  • Swindon Borough Council
  • Wickes
  • Zurich

The Business Case

Giving disabled people opportunities to access work experience and paid work enables employers to fulfil the ‘triple bottom line’ – the objectives of many leading companies, ie:

  1. Interdependence of Economic Prosperity
  2. Environmental Stewardship
  3. Corporate social responsibility

Working with Connect will help you maintain the necessary equilibrium among these fundamental elements of best practice when economic times are tough.

This is a clear business case for supporting people with disabilities. Connect can give your organisation the opportunity to raise its profile in the community and business world by identifying innovative ways of helping one of the most disadvantaged groups of people in the economic market.
