Trading Standards - News

Trading Standards section is always busy and there is always something new happening.  You can check out the latest trading standards news here.

We work with businesses to help them comply with Trading standards legislation.  However where traders continue to break the law or commit a serious offence we will prosecute.

Watch out for scams.  Unfortunately there are always rogues out there trying to con honest people into losing their hard-earned cash.  Check out our warnings on the latest consumer scams and business scams.

Swindon Trading Standards section supports the CitizenCard and offers a free card to all young people under the age of 18 in Swindon.  You can find a CitizenCard update here.

An important role of Trading Standards Officers is to keep consumers safe.  Occasionally products need to be recalled for safety or quality reasons.

Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions page for details of problems faced by other consumers and information on consumer rights.
