Given the current financial crisis, there is concern that people are more likely to experience problems with their housing, particularly in relation to paying their rent or mortgage.
Swindon Borough Council offer advice and assistance to anyone living or working in Swindon who is experiencing difficulty in their housing, especially if they are threatened with homelessness. The advice is free and confidential. Swindon Borough Council is committed to preventing homelessness and the Housing Needs Team will their best to keep people in their own homes.
The aim of the workshop was to provide Housing Information on what Swindon Borough Council and the Government can offer to households who are experiencing difficulties keeping their home. This seminar was aimed at HR departments and other agencies to raise awareness of what the team has to offer.
