Workspace Strategy

The SSEP, in association with Swindon Borough Council and the South West Regional Development Agency, commissioned GVA Grimley to produce a workspace and employment strategy for Swindon to the year 2026.

The rationale for the study was to inform a direction and sectoral composition for Swindon’s future economy in the context of international, national, regional and local economic factors and influences. More specifically, GVA Grimley was asked to comment on the potential of Swindon to increase its share of knowledge-based businesses / sectors. A related issue addressed in the study concerns the implications of any identified strategy on future employment land forecasts and workspace requirements for Swindon.

The findings included in the final report, attached below, will be used to inform future economic and planning policy.
